Super 8 has been a blessing for the ordinairy citizen that wanted a taste like a professional. It did the "thing", although much smaller. It did the thing, though. Possibilities for approach galore. Direct-editting in the camera for the editting on a splicer was to fragile. Plural projections because of size and price. The colour was specific, or the grain was amazing in some black and white. One could develop oneself and create unique effects. The only problem was the luminance of the projectors. But then, in the 90's came the one-lens video projector at more affordable prices. S8 is still an unique footage.
